White Coral can arrange magnetic compass adjustment for commercial vessels in Western Canada. Attendance may be coordinated at berth, anchorage or during a suitable vessel movement, depending on port restrictions and operational requirements.
Typical Scope
- Review of compass condition and available deviation records;
- Adjustment while the vessel is swung through suitable headings;
- Preparation or update of the deviation information as applicable;
- Coordination with Master, pilot, agent and port operations where vessel movement is required.
The Master remains responsible for navigation and for ensuring the vessel is operated safely during any manoeuvres required for the adjustment.
